Vision & Mission

History

Bhagalpur Social Service Society (BSSS) is a Voluntary Development Organization registered and incorporated in 1972 as a charitable society. The Governing body comprises of members elected from the village societies and people’s organizations. This is the official Organization of the Catholic Diocese of Bhagalpur responsible for social action and development.

Aim of BSSS

BSSS has helped to promote development in various fields of Education, Health, Agriculture, Disaster and people’s organizations with special focus on women empowerment.

In recent times, the organization has shifted totally to a development approach, formation of Self-Help Groups (SHG), IGA and Agriculture activities through Resilient Livelihood and Combating Human Trafficking projects.

Objectives

  • To promote social, civic, medical, educational, agricultural, environmental and cultural activities among the people.

  • To undertake relief activities among victims of calamities, both natural and unnatural.

  • To collect funds, organize meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminar for empowerment with special focus on women.
